The Forum Luncheon

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined and supported us at this year’s annual The Forum Luncheon, benefiting Texas Children's Trauma and Grief (TAG) Center, on November 14! Your support enabled us to spread the TAG Center mission of helping children and families address the challenges which come from facing trauma and grief – whether those challenges come in the form of a natural disaster, losing a loved one or anywhere in between, the Trauma and Grief Center works to help children live a better tomorrow.

There's no question that children and teenagers face a whole range of complex issues today that didn't seem so prevalent just a few decades ago. And there's no question that they are struggling.

The experience of a single incident of trauma or grief in childhood--loss of a loved one from illness or violence, a devastating natural disaster--can have overwhelming consequences. With repeated experiences, the effects are cumulative and the risks for developing lasting mental health issues are multiplied.
